ARRIVAL

15-MINUTES EARLY

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to all appointments. This will allow us to address any paperwork or time of service fees, collect urine samples (obstetrics & annual exams), as well as get you comfortable and settled before a member of our clinical team takes you back for your appointment.

VISITORS

Due to the heightened sensitivity to illness during this time, we ask patients of Bella to limit the number of guests at appointments in our clinics.

SANITATION & PURIFICATION

STATE-OF-THE-ART SANITATION & MOLEKULE AIR PURIFICATION PROCESSES

We have invested in advanced UV light technology and hospital-grade MoleKULE PECO air filtration systems throughout our environment to ensure our clinics are free of viruses and bacteria.

We also use furnishings that can be wiped down between patient visits to ensure exam rooms and common areas are clean.

SQUEAKY CLEAN

We’ve made big investments in our sanitation and air purification procedures. Patient safety is our first priority.

PARKING

PARKING OPTIONS AT OUR ENGLEWOOD CAMPUS

Our main Bella campus is in a friendly, revitalized area in Englewood, Colorado - right down the street from Swedish Hospital. Although we love our prime, “good vibes” spot, parking can be a challenge.

Please arrive a couple minutes early to your appointment to allow for parking. If you cannot find a spot in the Bella parking lot, feel free to park anywhere up and down the side street, as noted by the public parking signs.

You can also park just a short walk up the street behind Mango Coffee, off Broadway and Old Hampden.

SPECIAL NEEDS

HANDICAPPED PARKING & BUILDING ACCESS

We have reserved handicapped parking in the Bella parking lot. We also allow vehicles to stop briefly to drop off patients by our patient door in the back parking lot. Please stay with your car and keep it running in case you need to move quickly to allow another vehicle through. It’s a tight squeeze.

An elevator is available to get to floor two, although much of Bella patient care is centralized on the first floor.

Parents with baby strollers, patients in wheel chairs, or those with physical impediments should ask to be taken up the ramp in the back if they are assigned to a room in Suite 101.

MASK POLICY

mask POLICY IN HEALTHCARE FACILITIES

We ask that any patient feeling ill (and their guests) wear a mask in our clinic to ensure the safety of the most vulnerable among us.

Wear a mask if you’re not feeling well

We can provide you and your guests with a mask should you need one.

SPECIAL PROCEDURES UPON ARRIVAL

URINE SPECIMEN COLLECTION - ANNUALS & OB VISITS

Most patients visiting us for routine OB exams and annual wellness appointments will be asked to collect a urine specimen. Please head straight to the patient rest room off the left-side hallway in Suite 100 after you check in to collect the specimen. Feel free to lock the door when you enter the restroom; otherwise, our team may enter to turn over laundry.

If you are in the office for an OB or annual exam and you are NOT asked by a patient representative to take a urine specimen, you might ask whether or not one is needed that day.

INFANT CHANGING STATIONS

DIAPER CHANGING STATIONS

Parents can find diaper changing stations in our patient restroom inside the Bella clinic and in our Men’s and Women’s Bathrooms, located off the hallway of the first and second floors.

Babies welcome here

Parents can find baby changing tables and diaper supplies in many restrooms at Bella. Our team loves to help carry little ones when your hands are full, too.

APPOINTMENT POLICIES

LATE, CANCELLATIONS & NO SHOWS

Patients may be assessed a no-show or cancellation fee if they have not provided at least one business day’s notice before cancelling or rescheduling an appointment.

No shows will be assessed a fee.

Patients who arrive late for appointments may need to be rescheduled. Ultrasound appointments in particular are highly sensitive to time constraints.

babies don’t care abouT calendarS

We thank you for understanding when one of our delivering providers must rush to the hospital to catch a baby.

OBs and midwives are always on stand-by.

UNEXPECTED APPOINTMENT CHANGES DUE TO LABOR & DELIVERY (BIRTHS)

Although we do our best to maintain an on-time, orderly patient appointment schedule, the nature of Obstetrics-Gynecology means that, at any given time, a patient could go into labor, resulting in a one of our five-member delivering provider team to rush to the hospital (either an OB or midwife) for the birth.

When this happens, we do our very best to rearrange the day so that all appointments are covered, rather than rescheduled. This is orchestrated by either 1) delaying the appointment with the original provider or 2) allowing another qualified Bella medical professional to administer care.

As a medical team, we actually believe “universal” provider care is better for patients. The more eyes we have on a patient, the more we are prone to catch things that might otherwise have gone unnoticed or to develop treatment strategies with an “all hands on deck” methodology.

We thank you for understanding the unique nature of this line of medicine.

FINANCIAL POLICIES

OUTSTANDING BALANCES COLLECTED AT TIME OF SERVICE | SPECIALIST PROVIDER DISTINCTION

Co-pays, funds towards deductibles, self-pay, and share-plan fees will be collected at the time of service.

Because Bella opened first as an OB-GYN in 2014, we are billed as a Specialist under most insurance plans.

Should an overpayment occur, we will either refund your payment, apply it as a credit on your account toward a future office visit, or allow you to donate your money to Bella’s nonprofit charity fund to “pay it forward” for someone else’s medical needs.

outstanding balances

We collect co-pays, deductibles, and self-pay fees at time of service. If you have trouble paying your bills, we have resources at info@bellawellness.org.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Bella is proud to be a community center offering dignified, life-affirming health care to all men, women, and children. For those who find themselves financially vulnerable, we offer a financial aid application process.

We are not accepting new Medicaid or Medicare at this time.

TELEMEDICINE VISITS - DURING BUSINESS HOURS

5DR_9345.jpg

TELEMEDICINE

Video appointments provide the convenience of technology with the intimacy of face-to-face care.

HIPPA-COMPLIANT, FULLY SECURE TELE-HEALTH VISITS

Telehealth visits are convenient options for patient visits that do not require a physical exam. Good examples of appropriate telemed visits are lab reviews, fertility consultations, hormone evaluations, and anxiety/depression treatment.

Bella uses a telehealth platform that is fully secure and HIPPA compliant.

Patients should conduct their telemed visit via a SMART phone, as a text link will be sent to you via SMS to join the appointment. (It is possible to send a link via email, but it is not the preferred method.)

First, you will be asked to complete some basic patient information. This will allow our provider to access your charts.

Then, you will be placed in a virtual waiting room. Your provider will join you shortly.

If your provider has any issues getting in touch with you, he or she may call you via cellular or land-based phone service. This call will likely appear from a “blocked” number. Please answer the phone.

Telemed visits are billable, just like in-office care.

OUTDOOR SICK CLINIC

drive-thru sick CLINIC

Depending on community illness trends, sick visits and illness testing may take place in our parking lot pop-up clinic. This limits the exposure of the well to any illness or disease (especially our pregnant mothers and new babies), while allowing us to offer comprehensive care for the sick.

COLORADO’S FIRST PRIVATE drive thru CLINIC

When you don’t feel good, you may not want to get out. Bella offers drive-thru sick care for COVID-19, strep, flu, or cold.

COVID-19, STREP, FLU & RSV TESTING

RAPID & LABORATORY TESTING

Bella uses multiple testing and treatment methods to combat COVID-19, including a antigen and antibody testing, to will reveal the presence of active coronavirus agents in the body. Tests come in rapid-response and PCR / blood-draw form.

Rapid flu, strep, and RSV testing are also available.

Should symptoms indicate, our providers may also opt to run additional swab nasal testing for examination by an outside laboratory. We want you well!

For those traveling, Bella offers COVID-19 PCR testing, with results typically available in 24-36 hours (based on laboratory volume at the time).

We can help with documentation for travel. We may assess a processing fee, depending on the extent of the paperwork needed.

For those seeking doctor’s letters relieving them from COVID-19 vaccine obligations by an employer, school, or government agency, we do have a thorough medical vetting process in place.

You may schedule an appointment with one of our providers to explore options.

We DO NOT guarantee you will be cleared from vaccine obligations by our providers.

ANNUAL FLU SHOT

WE’VE GOT YOU COVERED!

Please call Bella to schedule a visit to get your annual flu shot. Although the flu shot is never 100% effective, it has been found to prevent or reduce the severity of illness.

Bella tests and treats flu patients in our new drive-thru clinic.

As a matter of protocol in the pandemic, we routinely test for both flu and COVID for patients presenting with flu-like symptoms.

covid-19 vaccination

Bella administers COVID-19 vaccines for patients ages 12 and older.

We offer first, second, and booster shot administration.

Bella is understanding of the concern surrounding the vaccine. We are happy to discuss pros and cons at a future appointment to help you discern what’s right for you and your family. Telemed is appropriate for a vaccine consultation.

We will consider writing medical exemptions for existing patients with valid concerns. We will not write non-medical exemption letters.

Note: we do not pre-guarantee medical letters of exemption. A consult with your provider is required.

ROUTINE CHILDHOOD VACCINES

BELLA ONLY OFFERS “CLEAN” VACCINES

As a life-affirming medical provider, we proudly offer vaccines free of any aborted fetal stem-cell material whenever possible. Life is precious, no matter the “gain.”

ADMINISTRATION & VFC PROGRAM OPTIONS

Bella offers full childhood vaccination, including VFC program options for those receiving government assistance. You can schedule your child’s annual wellness exam and receive any needed vaccines in one appointment for your convenience.

We do believe vaccines have largely been proven effective in warding off many diseases.

ALTERNATIVE VACCINE SPACING & EXEMPTIONS

We will work with parents hoping to create a plan for alternative spacing of vaccines for their child.

When necessary, we will issue medical exemptions from a vaccine(s) as appropriate.

Parents looking for non-medical childhood vaccine exemptions are encouraged to take advantage of the State’s new online program for parents. For individuals who prefer, this can be done completely anonymously! (We are happy to help with this if needed.) We do not offer non-medical childhood exemptions.
