How Do we Work With the hospital Delivery Team when it’s time for your baby to be born?

Your hospital will ask if you have a pediatrician when you go in to deliver. Let them know you are part of our practice under Dr. Sarah Hodack, Bella CMO.

Your baby’s first examination will be with the hospital pediatrician, but as soon as you get home, we want to see your little one for his or her very first appointment.

For parents who seek circumcision for males, we offer circumcision services in our Englewood clinic.

DOES BELLA HAVE BOTH MALE AND FEMALE PEDIATRIC PROVIDERS ON STAFF?

Yes. We know that especially as children get older, they may have a preference when it comes to the gender of their provider. Bella offers pediatric care from both male and female providers.

care from the very, very beginning

As a multi-specialty practice, we’ve been lucky to care for many of our Bella Kids since they were in utero, as their moms were patients, too!

IF MY CHILD IS SICK, CAN my child BE SEEN SAME DAY?

We will do our very best! Please call our office as early in the day as possible and let our team know that your child is sick and that you’d like to see a provider as soon as possible.

Our providers save spots on their schedules so that they can see sick kids every day.

Sick visits are highly-focused appointments. They are typically 10-20 minutes long, which is plenty of time to address an acute illness, but usually not enough time to review additional concerns. Because we want to do a good job caring for your child, your provider will likely invite you to schedule a follow up visit for any additional health issues or development questions.

Please help our providers see all the sick kiddos every day, especially during high illness seasons, by arriving on time and keeping the visit focused on the problem at hand.

We have extended our office hours to 7:30-5:00, Monday-Friday, so that parents who have sick visit needs can reach us.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY CHILD IS SICK AFTER HOURS?

If it’s an emergency, please call 911 or go directly to the hospital.

If you need a medication refill or have a general question, please call our office during regular business hours.

If you have an urgent question (but it’s not an emergency), Children’s Hospital offers a first line of defense. Rather than having to page a doctor and wait for a response, the CHILDREN’S AFTER HOURS LINE is staffed by registered nurses.

You can also call Bella after hours to reach the provider on call.

WHAT IS BELLA’S POSITION On CHILDHOOD VACCINATIONS?

The vaccines Bella recommends during childhood have decades of testing and research behind them and have been shown to be highly effective in the prevention of disease.

Bella mostly offers Clean Vaccines, formulas free of aborted fetal cell materials or histories.

Bella providers will work with parents to create a vaccine spacing plan.

We never want any parent to feel pressured when it comes to vaccinations. We do not, however, offer non-medical exemptions in our clinics. The State of Colorado offers an online option instead.

CAN MY CHILD GET A FLU SHOT AT BELLA?

Absolutely! We love when our kids come in to get their annual protection against the flu.

If you have an appointment scheduled, you may receive your flu shot during your appointment in season.

If you have had an appointment within the last year and would like a shot, our nurses administer shots between 3-4 pm daily. Please call to be placed on the schedule.

If you have not been seen in the last year, please schedule an appointment with a provider to get a quick check up and receive your shot.

Bella is a VFC vaccine clinic, ensuring no child goes unvaccinated, regardless of insurance status. We are dependent on the State to issue those supplies, so please indicate to our scheduling team your need for VFC coverage. They will schedule you at a time when we know we will have VFC vaccines on hand.

CAN MY CHILD GET A PHYSICAL FOR A TEAM OR CAMP AT BELLA?

Absolutely. We offer physicals all year long.

does bella offer life-affirming, DIGNIFIED sexual health education for adolescents?

Absolutely. Bella offers education for middle schoolers and high schoolers - boys and girls.

Many parents are looking for an alternative to traditional sex ed classes taught in schools. They’re hoping for a medical perspective that also honors the innate dignity of the human design, promotes chastity, and reveres all life.

Many parents choose Bella for pediatrics because we support a more dignified, life-affirming vision of the human body and our reproductive health.
